If you’re lucky enough to live in Wyoming, you know what a special place it is. From its upstanding Western traditions and sense of community to the wide-open spaces that make you thankful to be alive, Wyoming is a gem that is not to be taken for granted. However, sometimes those wide-open spaces mean that getting the quality health care that you need and want for you and your family is several hours away.
How it Works
The Partnership for a Healthy Wyoming is designed to support ongoing healthcare initiatives in Wyoming and educate communities across the state on how to find solutions to some of the challenges we face. The Partnership will be comprised of a steering committee, community service organizations, economic development partners and healthcare professionals.
We have several goals, but the most important goal is to support ongoing efforts to improve access to, and the quality of, healthcare in Wyoming.
We want to keep Wyoming patients in Wyoming clinics and hospitals, while keeping Wyoming hospitals independent and locally governed.
Sounds good, but how will that happen? We’re partnering with state and local organizations to see where the gaps exist and how to fix them. We will look to work with initiatives to find ways that healthcare can be an economic development driver to help diversify Wyoming’s economy.
But most importantly, this collaboration will give Wyoming residents access to the expansive HealthONE network of doctors and services closer to home — where you need it. Currently, HealthONE provides outreach clinics, telemedicine sites and even AIRLIFE helicopters across the state to help deliver the medical care and attention that you need without the burden of travel.
What does this mean for me?
Ultimately, this partnership means that you’ll have access to better healthcare where you live.
We’ll be hosting various events around the state that will give you the opportunity to ask questions and get answers. Have a more pressing question or would like to get involved? Contact us at Ryan.Clement@HealthyWYO.com or 303-704-7888 and Ann.Clement@HealthyWYO.com or 303.842.6080.
We would like to hear from you!
